Treatment

Cardiology & heart surgery

Heart conditions often need a precise diagnosis before the right treatment can be chosen. Cardiac teams in India review your ECG, echocardiography and angiography and tell you whether medicines, a catheter procedure or surgery is recommended.

Conditions we can help with

  • Coronary artery disease and chest pain
  • Heart valve disease, including rheumatic valve disease
  • Congenital heart defects in babies, children and adults
  • Heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias)
  • Heart failure and cardiomyopathy
  • Diseases of the aorta and blood vessels

Treatments and procedures

  • Coronary angiography and other diagnostic tests
  • Angioplasty and stenting
  • Coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG)
  • Valve repair or replacement, including catheter-based options (TAVI) for suitable patients
  • Paediatric cardiac surgery and interventions
  • Pacemakers, defibrillators (ICD) and ablation for arrhythmias

Availability of a technique depends on the hospital and on your case.

How long you may stay in India

As general guidance: after angioplasty, patients often stay in India for around a week. After open-heart surgery such as a bypass or valve replacement, a total stay of about two to three weeks is common, so that doctors can check your recovery before you fly. Your cardiologist decides when you are fit to travel.

General guidance only. Every case is different, and the hospital gives its own estimate for you.

What to send for a free review

  • Recent ECG and echocardiography report
  • Angiography report and CD, if done
  • Stress test, Holter or CT angiography, if available
  • Blood tests and the list of current medicines

Clear phone photos are fine to start with. Please don’t post medical details on public social media.

Good to know

For children with heart defects, include the child’s weight, age and any previous surgery. Paediatric teams review these cases separately.

Do not stop blood-thinning or heart medicines before travel unless your doctor tells you to.

A word of honesty: no one can promise a cure. The treating doctors decide the treatment, and results differ from patient to patient. What we promise is clear information, respect and support at every step.
