  • Prostate, kidney and bladder cancers
  • Head and neck cancers
  • Lung cancer
  • Stomach, liver, colon and rectal cancers
  • Blood cancers: leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma

Treatments and procedures

  • Review of your case by a multidisciplinary tumour board
  • Staging tests such as PET-CT, MRI and biopsy review
  • Cancer surgery, including minimally invasive techniques where suitable
  • Chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy
  • Radiotherapy: IMRT, IGRT, stereotactic treatment (SBRT/SRS) and brachytherapy
  • Palliative and supportive care to control pain and symptoms

Availability of a technique depends on the hospital and on your case.

Your journey

How it usually goes

  1. 1

Send your biopsy report, scans and treatment history for a free review.

  2. 2

The cancer team gives a written opinion, a proposed plan and an estimate.

  3. 3

On arrival, doctors usually repeat or complete some tests to confirm the stage.

  4. 4

Treatment starts: surgery, a course of radiotherapy, or the first cycles of chemotherapy.

  5. 5

A follow-up plan is agreed, sometimes with treatment continuing at home under your local doctor.

How long you may stay in India

It depends entirely on the plan. Radiotherapy is usually given in daily sessions on weekdays, over anything from a single day to about six or seven weeks. After cancer surgery, patients often stay in India for one to three weeks. Chemotherapy is given in cycles, and some cycles may be continued at home. The hospital gives you a time estimate with its opinion.

General guidance only. Every case is different, and the hospital gives its own estimate for you.

What to send for a free review

  • Biopsy / histopathology report (and, if available, the slides or tissue blocks)
  • Recent CT, MRI or PET-CT reports, with the images on CD or as a link
  • Blood tests, including blood count, kidney and liver function
  • Summary of any surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy already received

Clear phone photos are fine to start with. Please don’t post medical details on public social media.

Good to know

Time matters with cancer. Tell us if symptoms are getting worse quickly so the review can be prioritised.

Hospitals often ask to review the original biopsy slides or blocks. Ask the laboratory that did your biopsy to keep them for you.

A word of honesty: no one can promise a cure. The treating doctors decide the treatment, and results differ from patient to patient. What we promise is clear information, respect and support at every step.
